My son James found this rather interesting-looking stone the other day, and the fertile imaginations in the Jones family have been speculating on what it may be.This morning I think that I have found the answer - a stone-age mouse!
(I am of course open to other suggestions!)

One of the first computer viruses landed you up with a message which read "PC is now stoned". Perhaps this 'mouse' dated from that era and was in fact a victim of the stone virus.
